Fencing Pants

Fencing pants are very similar to fencing jackets, as in they are made of the same newton rated puncture resistant material. They protect your legs from getting scratched up from the burs of steel swords and they also offer padding. The two main type are the sporting trousers or the “poofy pants”. Either are fine, the trousers are more restrictive if you have larger legs but offer a slimmer profile. Poofy pants are very mobile and freeing, however they provide extra fabric that can get hit and count against you in a tournament.
